Hattie B’s Chicken
DO YOU TAKE RESERVATIONS?
You don’t need a reservation to visit— just come on in! At Hattie B’s, we offer fast-casual counter service and seating on a first come, first serve basis. Because of our limited space and high volume of guests, we are unfortunately not able to reserve tables or specific areas of the restaurant for larger groups.
DO YOU HAVE GLUTEN FREE ITEMS?
Yes! We offer the following gluten free items: Grilled Chicken Tenders, Southern Greens, Baked Beans, French Fries, Potato Salad, and Cole Slaw
You can also ask for the chicken to be fried ‘naked’ (without breading). Our breaded fried chicken is dipped in our melted spice blend, so please ask for gluten free spicing if you have a concern.
DO YOU HAVE DAIRY FREE ITEMS?
We sure do! Our dairy free menu items include: Black Eyed Pea Salad, Fries, Southern Greens, Baked Beans and Pickles, and Cole Slaw.
Note: Our fried chicken breading contains whey, which is considered a dairy product but does not have lactose in it. If that is still an issue, you can ask for the chicken to be fried “naked” or try our grilled tenders!
ARE THERE ANY PEANUTS OR TREE NUTS USED ON THE PREMISES?
We fry our chicken and french fries in soybean oil and no peanuts or tree nuts are used at our restaurants! However, we cannot guarantee that peanuts or tree nuts haven’t been used at our vendor facilities.
DO YOU ALLOW DOGS ON YOUR PATIOS?
As much as we love dogs, we do not allow dogs on our premises. We have opted to keep our patios dog free for a few reasons; the high volume of guest/ server traffic, chicken bones, and extremely hot spices. We wouldn’t anyone to trip on a leash, get tangled up in our crowds, or get their nose into something too spicy!
I WOULD LIKE TO GET A LARGE CATERING FOR MORE THAN 25 PEOPLE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
Feeding the party? If you’re in Nashville and feeding 20 people or ordering over $300, please contact our catering/events kitchen on Old Harding Pike. Check out our catering menu here! We typically need at least 48-72 hours advance notice for average orders, but if you’re hosting a larger party, go ahead and holler at us as soon as you have a date. If you are interested in learning more, contact: events@hattieb.com.
I’M INTERESTED IN A LARGER PICK UP ORDER AND THE ONLINE ORDERING FORM HAS A MAXIMUM COST OF $50. WHAT CAN I DO?
Orders for less than 20 people/under $300 can be placed with an individual store’s manager with at least 24 hours notice. Our phone lines open at 11am— just be patient with us during high volume times of day! You can also email us at info@hattieb.com. (We are not able to always guarantee that emailed orders can be accepted – we will contact you back with a confirmation or a request for more information.)
I NEED IT QUICK AND CAN’T WAIT IN LINE! I HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK, THE AIRPORT, MY HONKY TONK GIG, ETC!
If you don’t have the time to jump in line, you can always jump online and pick it up To-Go! Just scoot back to our website, choose your preferred location, and our online system will tell you the pickup time. You can even order up to two weeks in advance!
OOH?! CAN I ORDER ONLINE, SKIP THE LINE AND EAT MY TAKE OUT HERE?
We like to operate with that “do unto others” credo— and the first grade credo of “Hey! No cutting in line!” We want to be fair and thoughtful of guests that have been waiting in our line, so our To-Go means just that. Of course, if there are open tables and no one waiting to sit, please feel free to enjoy your To-Go meal with us! And if you have special circumstances, please speak to a manager.
WHY IS YOUR ONLINE ORDERING NOT WORKING?
This is due to all the beautiful hot chicken seekers! During periods of high volume, our online ordering system throttles back incoming orders and then turns back on when the kitchen is ready again to sling more chicken. (Kinda like when your favorite band sells out of concert tickets but then they hopefully add more shows asap.) We push out as many dine in, pick up, and delivery orders out as we can! 😉 Protip: You can pre-order up to two weeks in advance so hop on after a rush and preorder a day or a week ahead for those popular pick up times
HOW CAN I GET A DELIVERY?
We currently have exclusive delivery with Uber Eats at all locations.
DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS?
Yes! You are a wonderful person for giving the gift of hot chicken and angels sing your name! You can now email or text a Hattie B gift card! Go here or click on Gift Cards from our homepage!
IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL INFO@HATTIEB.COM.
WE HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR VISIT!

Naomi’s Caribbean Cuisine
Naomi’s Story
Trinidadian’s culture is influenced greatly by the diverse background of their native ancestors and the local cuisine has Creole and Chinese influence, but the main dishes are dominated by Indian spices. The music is a combination of syncopated rhythms emanating from Steel Drums and Calypso (which gave way to Soca, a marriage of soul and calypso), is the name used to describe the local music, which is a combination of African, Asian, French and Spanish influence.
Authenticity
The people are humble, proud of their native land, seldom influenced by outsiders and some hold steadfast to traditions passed on through generations. Although various religious beliefs exist, the entire country comes together annually to celebrate ‘Divali, the Festival of Lights’, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Christmas.

Joloff Restaurant
The Diagne Family
We are a West African restaurant specializing in Senegalese cuisine. After almost 20 years serving the community, we have taken a significant part in transforming our restaurant and environment into a “Taste of Senegal.” Each of our customers have the opportunity to join in at our table as family and fest in our traditional dishes.
Over years our most popular dish has grown to be the Senegalese national dish called Tiebou Jeun (baked fish, joloff rice, and veggies). What makes, Joloff’s dish so special is the way the rice is cooked. It is a “broken” rice, with a jasmin flavor, cooked into a deep tomato sauce. This is what we call the “joloff” rice, which is also the specialty of the house. In order to be a cook at Joloff Restaurant, you have to love cooking, which is mostly what distinguishes our cooks from those in other restaurants. All of our dishes are made daily upon request and with tremendous love. Our juices and pastries are all homemade and freshly made.
Unlike a lot of other West African restaurants, we understand the value of a healthy life>
Joloff has become a home to all people, of all traditions! Since 1995, Joloff Restaurant has been visited regularly not only by the local community but also by a number of celebrities. Some celebrities who have been regulars and event hosts at Joloff include: Sizzla, AKON, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Eryka Badu, M1, Kevin Powel, Isac Debancole.
Our restaurant was featured in the Daily News, the New York Times, the New York Amsterdam News, in Eat, and OCSNews, as one of the best eats in Brooklyn and we are always focused on growing but maintaining that reputation.
“When I see people come and enjoy themselves eating Senagalese food, I feel very good because this shows that Senegalese food can be eaten and accepted by anybody anywhere in the world,” notes Papa. “As a Senegalese foodmaker, I feel that I have to represent my country one way or another. The restaurant helps people discover not just the food but also our way of living, our culture. The Joloff Restaurant is also a preview before going to Senegal: my customers are not just Senegalese, they are a mix, they come from different nationalities, and so we are a melting pot on a small scale. Senegal is a very welcoming country: by coming to the restaurant you can get a taste of how welcoming my country’s people are.”

The Brooklyn Bell
Brooklyn Bell, founded in 2011 by the husband and wife team of Ron Cunningham and Kati Duncan-Cunningham in Brooklyn, is a purveyor of strictly craft foods. Currently we offer Brooklyn Bell Ice Cream, like your grandma would make but better as well as special treats and coffee at our store, Brooklyn Bell’s the Local. We believe in simple, honest ingredients sourced with painstaking care.
Ron Cunningham
Most days you can find Ron at our store, Brooklyn Bell’s the Local making ice cream and treats. He handles the day-to-day operations of the store as well as oversees all ice cream production, distribution, and sales.
At night, he still dabbles in programming and creating interactive software for clients because he really is a tech nerd and he secretly gets excited about learning Python on his Raspberry Pi.
Check out roncunningham.com for the guy who makes ice cream and writes code to make people happy.
Kati Duncan-Cunningham
Kati is a lawyer whose extra-curricular activities have included working for the former organic eatery Second Helpings in Park Slope, aiding a community-owned coffee shop, Vox Pop, in Ditmas Park, and advising non-profit LES arts organization A Gathering of the Tribes. Before moving to New York in the late ‘90s, Kati was an educator, community organizer and poverty-rights advocate in Wisconsin.

Two Women, Passionate for Crabs
FIFI BELL – CLANTON
FOUNDER, CO-OWNER
In Philadelphia, where Fifi grew up, crabs are a popular fare. Many neighborhoods have crab places serving up Blue crab, Dungeness crab and Alaskan Snow crab.
Not so in New York. Fifi found herself frequenting the market in order to make them herself. Preparing crab perfection became a passion and it became a dream to open a restaurant dedicated to serving delicious crabs in Brooklyn!
GWEN WOODS
FOUNDER, CO-OWNER
Gwen grew up with a family tradition of crab. Her father is from the Chesapeake Bay area and as a treat for the family, always brought crabs back after visiting his home.
Like Fifi, Gwen was also frustrated by the severe lack of crab in New York. It was one night at a dinner party at Gwen’s house when Fifi brought up the idea of opening a crab restaurant. A year later The Crabby Shack was born.

Mr.Brown’s Lounge
Big Up to the Bredda’s.
Both of them. Blessed. Jamaica’s kiss touched two brothers – breddas in Jamaican, apart for way too long. One under the island’s sunny skies — the other rooted in the windy city. Ease up, everything cook an curry now. Executive Chef Chris Douglas made the long journey from Jamaica to the city by the lake… and brought the family recipes with him. Joined by Chicago native, brother Terry Meghie, and his wife Carrie, a partnership was formed to launch the first Mr. Brown’s Lounge in 2009.
Authentic Jamaican dishes, culture and nightlife.
You will be left feeling happy, or irie as Jamaicans might say. Respect to the breddas for Mr. Brown’s Lounge, when an escape to Jamaica is much needed and well deserved. Much love.
